Palm Springs based photographer Stacy Jacob approached me in early 2013 to create a logo for her new photography company that reflected her unique style. We came up with this chic, artistic, and timeless mark to represent her work. Keeping in mind the importance of one’s name in a competitive industry like photography, we used her initials “SJ” to create an abstracted monogram to act as the focal point and selected a feminine-but-modern typeface to complement the icon. My favorite part about this project: the final design concept was sparked by a napkin that she loved. Sometimes we find inspiration in the most unexpected of places.
